The OxiSelect™ Protein Carbonyl ELISA Assay (96-well plate) is a sensitive and convenient immunoassay designed for the quantitative measurement of protein carbonyls, one of the most widely used biomarkers of protein oxidation and oxidative stress. Principle of the Assay

Protein carbonyls formed during oxidative damage are first derivatized with dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) to create stable DNP-protein adducts. These adducts are then captured in a 96-well plate and detected using a DNP-specific antibody, followed by a colorimetric readout. The absorbance is proportional to the carbonyl content in the sample.
